Beautiful hotel and rooms so nicely decorated too.
We stayed there for one night and was very happy. I used my diamond reward points so that was a plus. We stayed on the 13th floor with a great view of the Capitol. The hotel has a gothic feel and it is beautiful. Rooms are modern and beds comfortable. We got a $15 credit for dining and went into Jacobs restaurant for breakfast. They had a nice buffet for $20 but I went for the standard breakfast for $15 and it was a huge portion. We walked to Proof brewery from the hotel. I wish we would of visited the roof top bar but maybe in our next stay. Highly recommend. Friendly staff too!
I did extensive research on finding a hotel that would suit my needs in Amsterdam. I decided that Catalonia Vondel would fit the bill. I landed around 9:30am and took the airport bus to the hotel. Uber is expensive in Amsterdam and the bus drops you off really close to the hotel. I arrived around 10:30am and was informed that the room wasn’t ready yet because it had to be cleaned. No problem. We left our bags at the front desk and went out to kill some time. When we came back to the hotel, the room was ready. We went upstairs and the first thing that I noticed was the dusty mini fridge. This bothered me because if my room wasn’t ready due to cleaning, it should be clean when I arrive. The mini fridge is black, so it is obvious when there’s dust and the cleaning person just ignored it. Dust also accumulates after not being cleaned for awhile. So, that dust had been sitting there from previous guests. This grossed me out a bit because I started wondering how clean everything else was. Besides this incident, the hotel was great for our needs. The room was small but we knew that it would be. The hotel itself is quiet and located in a quiet neighborhood. When people are walking through the hallways, you can hear them. But the hotel isn’t full of rowdy of party people. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The street car and bus are nearby if you aren’t into walking. It was a good choice. I think for what I paid, it was a great value. Just need to improve on the cleaning.
I honestly loved my time at this hotel! The rooms are truly splendid, and please let me tell you about the staff. I'm dead serious when I say I absolutely LOVE the staff here! Each and everyone of them are absolutely fantastic, to say the least. I truly felt so welcomed! I chose this hotel based on other reviews, and it was beyond all expectations. You can definitely expect a warm welcome at arrival. They will also greet you warmly in the morning, afternoon and evening, when you walk past the receptionists! If you have any issues or concerns, they will do their best to help(speaking from experience) I spent my birthday weekend there, and they made it 100x better. I'm just so grateful. 10/10. Can't wait to come back.
My recent stay at Catalonia Vondel was nothing short of amazing. The rooms were impeccably designed, offering both comfort and elegance. The culinary experience was exceptional, with each meal surpassing our expectations. The service was fantastic, with staff going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Excellence in five star comfort
This hotel is a fantastic experience!
It is right on the Champs Elysees and close to the Metro
The rooms are large, excellently appointed and ours had a separate complete kitchen
There is a huge courtyard and the service is also excellent.
Nothing is a problem for these people, from the doorman to front desk staff, breakfast staff and housekeeping
Next time I come to Paris I will be staying here and you should too!
